Description
Kate by Kate Moss Pavillion, London, 1995 First Edition / First Printing (with full publisher's number run) Hard cover in black publisher's cloth Large format 11.5 by 8.5 inches. Unpaginated With a foreward by Liz Tilberis, Editor-in-Chief, Harper's Bazaar and introduction by Moss herself.   To quote the inside cover this book is "..the story, told in pictures, of how one remarkable English girl became one of the great fashion legends of the nineties" using Kate's own collection of favourite photographs. It follows Kate's career from the very early days right up to the time of publication, illustrating (again to steal from the inside cover) "the flux of fashion and the diversity of each individual photographer's work". Contributing photographers include Helmut Newton, Paolo Roversi, Nick Knight, Corinne Day, Juergen Teller, Sante D'Orazio, Christy Turlington, Ellen von Unwerth, Albert Watson, Roxanne Lowit, Steven Klein, Mark Le Bon, Mark Hispard, Manuela Pavesi, Alex Szaszy, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Sorrenti, Arthur Elgort, Stephen Meisel, Peter Lindbergh and David Sims. This stunning, long out-of-print title is now very scarce and much-sought after in hardback. I found a single copy for sale in the US priced $1500 (approx £754). Don't miss this opportunity. The condition is excellent. Internally it is extremely clean and bright and the binding is tight. The dustjacket is excellent also, with just the most minor signs of age. There are no inscriptions and the dustjacket has not been priceclipped. © Text and photographs by room_606. Please do not copy either in full or in part.IMPORTANT There are many more items in my shop that don't appear in regular item searches. So please click the link to my shop above and browse the category menu on the left. NEW! UK buyers only may also pay by cheque or postal order. If it's a cheque, please allow 7 to 10 days for it to clear. It may be possible for overseas customers to pay by another means such as bank transfer in GBP£  by prior arrangement. All buyers please make contact within 3 days of auction. Payment is required within 7 days.I regret that it has become necessary to only offer tracked forms of postage for high value items. This is because of the increasing number of instances of attempted fraud and I'm acting on unequivocal advice that I have received from Paypal/eBay. Please be assured that the postage options shown are calculated at cost, with a minimal handling fee to cover packaging materials. I always pack to a professional standard; please see my feedback page for customer testimonies. If you have any questions about any of this please contact me.  Non-paymentAll non-paying bidders are, without exception, reported to eBay. This is not for the sake of being vindictive, but because eBay charges retrospective fees calculated on the actual sale price of items and this money needs to be retrieved. It's hard enough to make ends meet on here as it is! Thank you for your understanding. Please refer to eBay's policy on non-payment for more information, including its ramifications for the bidder.Condition of itemsPlease note that, unless clearly stated otherwise, my listings are for vintage/antique items and therefore, by definition, are not going to be in the same condition you would expect from a brand new item. Please be assured that I always endeavour to offer the most accurate description possible of the item's condition and take multiple illustrative photographs. Vintage electrical itemsUnless clearly stated otherwise in the description, vintage electrical items are sold in their original condition so should be safety checked by an electrician before use. ReturnsReturns are possible, if reported within 7 days and by prior arrangement, if a mistake has been made in the listing and the item is not as described, but for no other reason. I'm afraid that straightforward buyer's remorse does not qualify. Thanks very much for taking the time to read this. If there is anything I haven't covered please don't hesitate to contact me. Best of luck bidding!
