Among all the published masonic monitors (that as far as i know are no longer being published with the authenticity they used to have) this is the most sought after, mainly for the reason that it compiles a "complete" presentation of the secrets of initiation, the signs, grips, passwords and ceremonies used and held in feemasonry for different rights and degrees. the book is also accompanied with numerous explicit illustrations to depict the ceremonies in practice. which explains why the hard cover of this book sells as much as close to one thousand dollar in 1st edition. beginner or expert on this path, this book is gauranteed to please the curiousity! This book is Extremely hard to come by in Hard Cover format, other copies mostly in worse shape with faded Gilt and heavy wear, sell as much several hundred dollars, this is another RARE treasure  From "David McKay Publisher". this book was first published in 1860, this undated copy could possibly be a 1st edition as many publishers neglected to put down the date.
